RPC Handbooks
These are written to help Managers and Radiation Protection Supervisors
implement the Regulations and Guidance for radiation safety. They set out what
should be done and include record sheets to help those responsible to keep
well-organised records. They also provide the basis of the annual audit by the
Radiation Protection Adviser and help departments to be prepared for an
inspection by HCC, DoH, HSE, CHI, NCSC etc. where applicable.
The RPC Handbooks for Diagnostic Radiology are in three parts:
- Procedure and Protocols for Medical Exposures (IRMER)
- Handbook for Radiation Protection Supervisors
